Investigation Discovery Re brand

Corporate Identity Re brand 
For this project we were tasked with choosing a TV channel that we would then recreate a logo and visual identity for the channel. The re brand should include a new logo that would capture the  channels ethos and it has to appeal to the channels current target audience. I chose to re brand the Investigation Discovery channel as it is one of my favourite channels to watch. For the re branding of this channel I first interviewed viewers of the channel to understand what their perception of the brand is at the moment and from there I used Lambie-Naim’s process of re branding the BBC channel, to base my decisions on for the re branding that I wanted to create. For the re branding of the Investigation Channel, I based my designs on the brand ethos and the logo is heavily influenced by the branding of the channel. My strategy for the re branding was to create different branding elements that could be used in the stings, ticket tape and the schedule filler. This would then influence the meaning of my logo and give its context.
